Kate Linder’s birthday was November 2, and she chatted with the Insider about her special Y&R celebration.

“I was very lucky because I did the best thing possible: I worked on my birthday!” she said. “Esther was able to come to life on my birthday too, so we both had a good day.”

“Actually,” Kate continued with a laugh, “I’m not sure Esther had such a good day. I’m trying to think of what happened (in the episode) that day…”

She added: “On the set, the crew applauded and sang Happy Birthday to me and it was very special.”

I just wanted to send you my congrat's on the storyline of Carmen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good that my husband and I schedule our day around it. You did such a fabulous job of involving everyone in on Carmen's death and that was such a neat way that you did it. Bravo Bravo!!!!!! to the writers. My husband is really into this he said it's just like playing the Clue game where the professor did it in the library or outside somewhere. I think he really is zooming in on the professor. Oh and that text message game I can never do it on my Verizon phone?? Is there another way???????????? I guess you don't do that anymore. Hope you all have a good holiday and a Happy New Year and keep up with the good storyline. It's soooooooooooooo much better than the Bold and the Beautiful. They sure don't know how to ack. You have the best talent. Take care and have a good one.

I just wanted to say that I Think the other Lily was better suited for the role of Dru and Neil's daughter. She was fiesty like Dru but level headed like Neil. The other Lily that you all brought back does not fit at all, and all my friends say the same. I've been watching Y & R since I was 7 and I'm now 33 yrs old. I do not miss an episode please consider bringing the other Lily back

Carmen was killed by Devon's mother (same DNA) who left her DNA under Carmen's nails. Probably not intentional as she was on drugs.

I disagree with the writer that requested for the other Lily. Definitely not! Christel is best for the part. In fact, I was so upset when she was replaced and I and my friends are really happy she's back. She fits perfectly for the show and is more natural. Please keep her, she shouldn't go anywhere. Thanks!

i have been a y&r girl since the inception; yes, your very first day. i am such a fan. today though you took my breath, stopped my heart and sent me to instantaneous tears all in one moment. a bouquet, a note with such tender words-it stopped time!

Reitta, I agree with your post. I miss the other Lilly (actress Davetta Sherwood). She and Daniel made a perfect cute couple. There was a natural attraction between the two. There Romio and Juliet love seemed so true. The new Lilly doesn't fit at all. Her acting is horrible and she trys to hard. Her acting is not natural and her and her complection is way to light to be Dru's daughter. She is bigger then Daniel and they don't make a compatible couple. I know that she was Lilly at one point, but what ever her reasons for leaving she should have stayed gone. Why replace something that's not broken writers? Why replace something that out performs the old? Its hard for me to watch the latest Lilly over act with her eyes rolling and her mono tone voice. Just bring back Davetta Sherwood.
