My husband and I would love to fly to Hollywood to see Jerry Douglas perform at the Catalina Grill. John is one of our favorite characters, and I as I wrote previously, he will be missed! He is such a classy, handsome man. Now, add Frank Sinatra type crooning to the mix, and WOW !! My husband is also a singer, so that's another reason we would love to make the trip out there all the way from Southwest Florida to hear Jerry sing! Christine.

John Abbott is one of the main best actors on the show..I have been watching since the beginning, PLEASE BRING HIM BACK!!!!!! Who is going next Ms. Chancellor??? The older actors are one of the reasons i watch this wonderful show...

It just sickens me to watch Michael and Kevin lacking the guts to stand up to the manipulations of their mother. Please dont let it linger on much longer. Also how many times is Sharon and Nick going to break up? Please give us one stable relationship on the Y & R. Bring back John and let him give Gloria the boot. Is Nick going to get into a serious accident and Sharon will come running back to his side?

I'm very sad to hear that Jerry Douglas is leaving Y&R forever. I really love this guy and wish they wouldn't kill off his character. But, alas they are.
Blame this decision on Lynny... :(

I have watched Young and the Restless ever since I was 6 years old with my mother, through high school and to now. I was very saddened to see John die this week. It really hit home with me. It remined me of my faters death. I will truly miss Jerry as John Abotte. I wish there were more people in real life that had the charater that John displayed on the show. We will miss you!

I'm very upset that there was no warning... that John Abottes role was going to be terminated, who's going to keep jack in line now.
