Greg Rikaart and his puppy, Fred, will be stepping out in style this April! They’ll strut their stuff at Animal Fair’s Seventh Annual celebrity/pet fashion show and gala charity auction, "Paws for Style." This special charity event takes place
Monday, April 10 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
"Paws for Style" is a doggie fashion show where only the best four-legged fashion divas, along with their two-legged counterparts, come to show their support and help raise funds for the Animal Medical Center of New York. Greg and Fred will walk the runway in a one-of-a-kind designer outfit and matching dog’s outfit! After the show, the outfits will be auctioned off to benefit the Animal Medical Center.

Greg and Fred are real fashionistas!

The Insider just finished chatting with Jerry Douglas - who was back on set to tape another appearance from “jail” - about his upcoming performance on Tuesday, April 4 at the Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood. Jerry, who everyone at “Y&R” knows is quite a crooner, will perform a special night of Sinatra-inspired memories.
The Catalina Bar & Grill is located at 6725 W. Sunset Blvd. (one block east of Highland Ave.) in Hollywood. Validated parking is available at the parking garage at Sunset and McCadden Place. For reservations, call (323) 466-2210.

On Saturday, the “Y&R” cast and crew gathered to celebrate our 33rd anniversary at the ultra-hip Geisha House restaurant in Hollywood. The two-story eatery was decked out in red and black, with the “Y&R” logo projected on the walls and in the dozen or so TV sets behind the bar. Partygoers, including Kristoff St. John, Eileen Davidson and Davetta Sherwood, danced the night away while others enjoyed cozy conversations in the pillow-stuffed booths along the walls.
Of course, greetings of “Happy Anniversary!” could be heard throughout the night. The Insider spotted Jeanne Cooper and Jerry Douglas catching up with Beth Maitland, who took the party’s theme to heart by wearing a Japanese-style jacket. It was a family affair for Michael Graziadei, who brought his younger brother Phillip, Amelia Heinle, who brought her mom, and Christian LeBlanc, who brought his sister, Michelle.

Dear “Y&R” Music Fans:
Have we got a hot one this Friday!
Airing on March 24, fans will hear a great new single from an emerging band out of Chicago that we think will be certain for success.
Lily and Daniel share another youthful moment with a stylized scene cut to "It's All Because of You" from musical group "xSive" (pronounced 'excessive'). This new group is the talent of three generations powered by vocalist Wally Swiatly (generation 1); guitarist, Phil Barille (generation 2); and father to (generation 3) guitarist, Michael Barille.
Their first album, appropriately titled "Three Generations of Rock," was completed last summer and they've been touring the local Midwest scene ever since.
I personally love finding bands out of Chicago that would really play in local Genoa City. They have this great sound that really holds its value of melding traditional arrangements of the late 70s/early 80s with contemporary themes and lyrics of today. This song works perfectly with Daniel and Lily, and I wish xSive the best of luck in their future endeavors.
For more information about this band, please connect to www.SoapSongs.com. There you will be able to purchase the album and obtain more information about the band.
Thanks for listening,
Mike Dobson
Music Supervisor

Things always get more fun around the production office when Christian LeBlanc pays us a visit, and today was no exception! He dropped by to say hello, and we happened to notice the t-shirt he was wearing. Take a look at the photo below and see if you get as big of a chuckle out of it as we did...

Christian showed off this t-shirt in the “Y&R” production office. “I bought it at Bloomingdales!” he said.

Today is Amelia Heinle’s birthday and the Insider caught up with her in her dressing room after she finished taping some intense scenes with Don Diamont and Kristoff St. John on the Newman Enterprises set. “I’m going to go out tonight with some friends from work to get a St. Patty’s Day drink,” she said with a smile. “And then my son’s going to give me a foot massage as a birthday gift,” she laughed. “He’s only ten!”

The Insider just had a great time doing lunch with “Y&R” newcomer Adrianne Leon at a hip Italian restaurant near CBS Television City. Adrianne chuckled as she recalled her birthday, which was Wednesday, March 15. It seems that some of her, ahem, more enthusiastic friends began calling her at midnight to share their best wishes. The only problem was that Adrianne had a 6:00 a.m. call the next day! But Adrianne took it all in stride and ended up having a fun day with a low-key celebration.
“My mom came up from San Diego and we went to dinner,” she told the Insider. “But I have so many different groups of friends, and I’m doing something different with all of them. I’m even planning to go sky-diving!”

Melody Thomas Scott did double duty recently when she guest-hosted two episodes of "Soap Talk," then rushed over to the "Y&R" set to tape her scenes for the day. Melody graciously offered to fill in for Lisa Rinna, who was busy with "Dancing with the Stars," and she invited a couple of "Y&R" hotties to be her guests! Of course, "Y&R" production had to move a few scenes around to get Joshua Morrow to the "Soap Talk" set in time! Greg Rikaart barely finished his scenes in time to hop into a limo and rush over to chat with Melody. As he was hurrying out to his waiting car, Greg realized that he was still in show wardrobe, and he had to make a quick cell phone call to Costume Designer Jennifer Johns to straighten everything out!
Melody’s "Soap Talk" episodes will air in late March.

Joshua Morrow joined guest host Melody Thomas Scott and host Ty Treadway on "Soap Talk."

Greg Rikaart hurried over from the "Y&R" set to appear with Melody.

It’s that time of year again! Everyone at “Y&R” is gearing up for the Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday, April 28. This year, the awards will be held at the glamorous Kodak Theatre in Hollywood for the very first time. The Insider is excited that this year’s awards will be here in L.A., on our home turf, instead of in New York City.
As you may know, tickets to the Daytime Emmys telecast are available to the general public and can be purchased from Ticketmaster. Just log on to www.ticketmaster.com and search for “Daytime Emmy Awards.” Here’s your chance to see your favorite “Y&R” actors live and in person!

Last weekend, “Y&R” cleaned up at the Image Awards. Shemar Moore won for Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama, and Victoria Rowell picked up the award for Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama. Amazingly, this is Victoria’s 11th Image Award and Shemar’s 7th! But that didn’t make winning any less sweet for this accomplished pair. The two had a great time catching up backstage, then joined fellow cast mates Kristoff St. John, Christel Khalil, Bryton and Davetta Sherwood at the swank after-party, where they hobnobbed with Tyler Perry, Jamie Foxx, Tyra Banks and many other Hollywood stars.
