« Congratulations to the “Y&R” Writers! | Home | Happy Birthday to Joshua Morrow! »
Greg Rikaart was working yesterday and the Insider congratulated him on his second Emmy nom in two years, but Greg was very modest, and said that he was honored to be selected. We got a big hug from cutie Michael Graziadei when we gave him his congrats – it’s his second nomination as well. “Graz,” as everyone calls him here at “Y&R,” was excited that all of the younger actors from his storyline (Christel Khalil, Camryn Grimes and Bryton) were nominated as well. And everyone was excited to see that Tracey E. Bregman received a nom for her great work.
Now the nominees just have to decide which tapes to submit to the Academy, and, of course, what to wear on the big night, April 28. The “Y&R” cast and crew will be out in full force at the Emmys this year!

I am very happy for show and the noms the show received and congrats to the actors. However, I extremely disappointed and ticked off about the OBVIOUS snubs in the Best Actor/Actress and Supporting actor categories. Josh Morrow, Sharon Case and Roscoe Born were all ROBBED! There is no way on the planet anyone could have viewed their work and not given them a nomination unless there was complete bias by the votes. (could it be because of the wins last year?) JMHO
BRING BACK ROSCOE BORN!

Congrats to everyone that is nominated..especially my friend Tracey Bregman. No one deserves an emmy more than she does. She is so talented, not to mention beautiful. I'll be watching the emmy's in April and rooting for Tracey and all the Y&R cast and crew all the way!

Congratulations to the emmy nominees (though I think some were definitely cheated by not getting a nomination)! Also, happy belated birthdays to Sharon Case and Joshua Morrow---my two favorite Y&R actors!

I second the poster that said it was a giant snub Roscoe Born not having been nominated! Shameful.

Congratulations to all the noms!!! You guys deserve it for keeping us entertained all year, EVERY year.

I'm not surprised! Y&R is only the BEST soap EVER!!! It's about time Daytime recognized that. Now, we just have to take the big one for Best Drama Series from GH... they always seem to steal that :(

Congrats to all the Emmy nominees! That's great there are so many nominees (although also some glaring omissions in the Best Actor category) from Y&R - that's cause it's a great show! And speaking of congrats in general, congrats to Lynn Marie Latham who, I read on a recurring Y&R actor's blog today, has been named Head Writer. Quite a promotion from Executive Consultant, very impressive.

congrats to all the nominees. I've been watching this show since The Brooks family was the main attractions. It just keeps getting better and better. We tape this show and our family watches it together. Sorry others were not nominated. Nick did a great job mourning the lost of his daughter. He made me cry for days I really felt his pain and truly thought he as well as Sharon would have gotten nominated for the great talent they displayed. Anyway you are all tops in my book and I would not dream of giving another soap a chance. Young and the Restless you are the BEST!!!!

First I want to congratulate all the nominees of the Young and The Restless. I have been watching this soap since Day 1 and tape it if I am not home at the time to watch it.
It is even better since I have TIVO I can go right thru the commercials and don't have to stay at home at that certain time. It must have been hard for some of the terrific few that didn't receive a nomination but to me they are all great. Young and the Restless has always been my favorite and the Best Soap on Tv with my second choice being Bold and the Beautiful. They are the two soaps that are taped every day, Thank you all for making those two hrs. so great for me.

It amazes me how Y&R has consistently been the number one soap, yet the other soaps always seem to get the nominations. Have you ever noticed the absurd SL's that other soaps have? GH is a joke, yet so-o-o-o many people think it's the best. Sorry, but in my book, number one is number one.
How did the academy, or group, or nominating council (or room of GH fans who had to nominate other as well) skip over Sharon Case? Michelle Stafford? Roscoe Born? Oh, please do not get me started with my feelings about Tom and even Gloria. Both were beyond brilliant this year.
And thanks to the writers for giving Jerry Douglas something to do. You guys forgot how good he really is, didn't you?
Y&R fans, if it wasn't for the pittance of nominations that our show DID get, I would call for a boycott of the awards show. I know that it would not be PC, but think about all of the great performances we've seen this past year alone and you tell me that there is better stuff on other soaps. I cannot fathom that.
I totally support Y&R.

Congratulations to the absolute best soap on TV. I have been a fan for 30+ years, and there is definitely none better, now or in the past. I agree that many of the actors who did not get nominated had wonderful, outstanding performances. But at least we Y & R fans already know this and tune in every day! Happy belated birthday to Sharon Case and to Josh Morrow (who happens to share my daughter's birthday as well). You are the best.

woot! Traceeeeeeeeeyyy. She better win, I'm really hoping - she's so good! :p Anyone else meh

I agree totally with Joe. Y and R should have had many, many, more nominations in the acting category. Again, regarding Jerry Douglas, during yesterday's show, as he was leaving for prison and saying his good-byes, I was crying immensely! He is a class act, and he will be deeply missed. However, I think with the amount of hatred between Gloria and John's children, the storyline,(and the acting), will be intense! Way to go writers for having Victor inform John of his observance between Jack and Gloria...this is "gonna" be GOOD !! Can't wait....Christine.

Congrats to all who were nominated. They deserve all the accolades . Y & R is the only soap opera I watch now and find myself going through all kinds of emotions .I feel as if they are my family ---I know that it is only a show--- The sign of a great cast and of course great writing. I have been a fan since Day 1 .Keep up the good work.
