« Happy Birthday to Lauralee Bell! | Home | On Location with Ed Scott - Part 2 »
Ed Scott was kind enough to give the Insider the some of the highlights from his busy evening:
7:30 p.m. I’m getting very involved in this tonight, because I've decided that I'm going to feed lines to the actors when they’re doing phone calls. Now, I was really good on that take, but the actor kind of stopped it, so nobody can blame me!
8:15 p.m. The last time I worked with Eileen Davidson on a location shoot, probably ten or more years ago, her character was wandering aimlessly on the streets in L.A., and it just reminded me of that tonight. But she lost her baby or something…I don’t know what she was doing…but she was alone, poor thing. And tonight, here she is again, wandering the streets, getting herself in trouble.
9:00 p.m. I just had an idea, so you guys can see the blood really well, when Roscoe gets shot, he’s going to land on some snow, and the blood’s going to show up really well.

Since I cannot see the Visuals, I can only say that the Audio Portions of these Scenes seem to work quite well.
If I may now turn to that Farm House/Bomb Shelter, and if those two Captives are going to have to remain there for several actual Days, what other Food do they have or can they get other than the Mints which Terrible Tom gave them, and Drink as well? Can they reach running Water and I trust we all know what else?

I think that it was great that Brad declared his love to Sharon. If our main men don't apprciated us then we become Desperate HouseWives...........so get with the program Men.

She didnt lose her baby, she aborted her baby. Then as usual Ashley Abbott went bonkers. I think she should go bonkers this time too because it seems to work for her. I think she fakes it to get everyone's sympathy.

you really should make terrible tom's heart start back beating so he can save lauren and can eventually become a good guy on the show. you should let him have the chance to be a good dad to kevin. he shouldn't leave this world without a fair chance to make it right and be sorry for his wrong doings - he needs a break. he really does want to be a good person i can see it in his eyes - his dad probably treated him the same way and that's why he has treated kevin & michael like he did - he just needs a break. there are so many people out there in tv land who are just like tom. this will give them hope that they can also become a good force for this great big planet in which we live.

Sacrificing Roscoe was a bad move. Can't we at least have some flashback scenes where he becomes Kevin's Guardian Angel or something. He will be missed...nobody does it better than Roscoe.

I agree with Fran. I was really enjoying Tom! What a great actor, very real and very handsome. I wanted him to turn around, because I could see him trying. He was true to his character, and he put a lot of heart into what he did. I am really upset that no one saw fit to keep him! If there is any way to get him back, I say find it!

NO, NO, and again NO. I have experienced a real life 'Tom' and trust me, you do NOT want him back under any circumstances.

Please don't listen to the people who want the show all light and fluffy. Bring Roscoe back as Tom, he made the show come to life. Something it hasn't done in a long time. Don't make a mistake that you could regret, and if another soap scoops him up you will have no chance to fix it.
Bring him back as soon as possible. Y&R is so boring without Tom.

Please pardon either my Ignorance or Forgetfulness, but why was this Actor let go in the first Place? Was it a Financial Decision or rather a Storyline one? I am not exactly sorry to have that Character go, but nonetheless might have come to enjoy him had he been somehow redeemed.
So those Captives must have found some Canned Goods, spoiled from the Sound of things. I hope and trust that Mr. Williams and Mr. Hellstrom will be in Time to save them if a Development on the first US Episode of next Week does not start them toward gaining their own Freedom.

I think you're making a BIG, BIG mistake by killing Tom off of the show. He makes the show worth watching!! What an all-around actor, he can go from one extreme to the next! You don't have another character like him on the show. You've already gotten rid of too many good characters; Brittany, Bobby, Lily. Please bring hom back, don't let him die.

why did tom die did he have to leave the show i thught he was fantastic...................

I seriously doubt that Peter Bergman would want to return to Pine Valley as that show fired him. I think he does a great job over at Y&R playing Jack Abbott yet I do not feel Jack Abbott is the brightest crayon in the box.
I think Jill has more smarts that Jack.
I am also so sorry to see the last of Tom fisher, I would much rather have seen him stay with the show. He was a great addition and could have been redeemed somewhat yet kept his edge. I don't get why all the great characters are let go.

ITA with everyone who wishes Tom was not killed off. Roscoe Born is one of the best things to happen to Y&R in a long time. If there is a way to keep him on the show, Please DO - he is TERRIFFIC!!! :)

Thank you _VERY_ much, Poster Diane, for setting me straight as to Mr. Bergman having been terminated from _AMC_, of which I was not aware, having only listened to that Programme a few isolated Times. That _DOES_ make a Difference! Mr. Jack Abbott indeed lets his personal Feelings colour his Business Decisions, and I still feel he is often devious. Though I am usually not a huge Fan of Mrs. Jill Abbott either, she may well be a good Woman of Business.

Thanks for giving us a little insight on background player, Ed Scott. I always wondered what he was like and he seems to be like a kid in a candy store. One of my favorite grown-up combinations.
I enjoyed Roscoe Barns, too, and hate to see him leave when I was just becoming acquainted with his character and with his background as an actor.

I am so glad to see that other people feel the same way about TOM, I love that character Roscoe does BAD so good, He put a certain energy into the show there is no character like him on there, not since they turned Kevin around, which by the way I like, but what a dumb move on the part of the young and the restless to get rid of Roscoe, are they so out of touch with their viewers that they don't know that killing him was a rotten idea. They need to find a way to bring him back from the dead IMMEDIATELY.

Perhaps Tom left something for Kevin in the safe deposit box that will change Kevin's mind about his dad.
Kevin well deserves to know something good about Tom. I am familiar with the kinds of feelings that Kevin has.

-Jhon Abbet is pretty amazing. He keeps the standards high for everyone envolved in the show.
-I am glad victoria and bradly broke off, the whole thing never made any sence.
-Really wish to see new wedding bells for sharon though. She has been pretty much with the same guy. few unfortunate flings but come on she deserves better than that.
-JT gets on my nerves. He always has.
-I love Kevin. LOVE him. I mean he has great potential. I can see him on the big screen. He is just gorgeouse and one of the reasons I follow the show.
-Ashley needs a true love in her life. Something passionate.
-paul williams needs love in his life. He is gorgeouse but has been forgotten. Give hime life, give him love.
-And this last one is again for Jhon Abbet."you are the most handsome older man I have ever known, and your charm and class on and off the screen is unparallel."
