Victoria Rowell recently paid a visit to The Dream Center in Los Angeles, where about 300 Hurricane Katrina evacuees are currently residing. She brought along a box full of videotapes of "Y&R" episodes that the evacuees, many of whom are big "Y&R" fans, missed due to the hurricane. Victoria hosted a lunch, followed by a screening of the episode that aired on August 29, the day that Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. Many fans - men, women and children - gathered in the auditorium to watch the show on a big screen. Many in the audience were excited to watch their favorite soap along with "Drucilla"! Victoria then thanked everyone who attended for watching "Y&R" and signed autographs for this special group of fans.

You rock,Victoria!

You know, I was trying to find an appropriate thread to post this on....but I haven't the energy to sift through all of them. So, first and foremost....I want to say Victoria, you are remarkable for all you do for humanity. The world could use more people who do what you do! Secondly, I believe Y&R has some of the most talented actors and actresses on daytime TV and I applaud all of your hard work and incredible talent. But this leads me to speak to the writing staff.........

I have watched Y&R for over 22 years and for the second time in that history, I don't have the desire to watch anymore.

The first time was out of pure anger....when my beloved Lyndsy Fonseca was kicked off the show. And YES, I say kicked because I believe you didn't think she was worth the effort.

I had been so totally in love with JT and Colleen that I never for one second thought that you would pull the rug out from under me....they were such a natural super-couple. WHO wasn't completely drawn into their love, their magic? URG, but you did it.........I lost them. And I was ANGRY!

But for some reason, I attempted to get over my anger and move on. How incredibly wrong I was for trying! You have given me nothing to mend my broken heart. Instead, you have trashed it, stepped on it, spit on it and kicked it to the curb. You have given me nothing to mend the broken heart that was ripped to shreds the moment you took my favorite couple away.

I get the fact that sometimes in soaps, people leave and one has to move on.....I really tried to let myself but you have done NOTHING to fix the emptiness you created when you tore Colleen from our hearts. Instead you force feed Brittany down our throats and try to make us believe that it was Britt he loved all along. Okay, non-believable but whatever. I just figured it was a useless attempt to create some chemistry with JT and Someone. But then, then you give us a small taste of our history when Lyndsy returned last Christmas.....only to stab my heart repeatedly again.

But like a stupid child, I returned yet again...hoping that you could mend my broken heart. And for the life of me, I will never understand why I tuned back in. YOU have taken the ONE character I awed over and made him into an idiot. Not only did you force the situation between Mac and JT but you also tried to assault the relationship of JT and Colleen by completely ignoring the fact that JT is changed because of Colleen and her love.

What a sorry sap I am for ever believing you could fix something so perfect! And for the second time in 22 years, my TV is off at 11 AM. I am now a complete Days fan who is cheering on an amazing new love that is developing slow and sparking some of the same magic I witnessed in JT and Colleen.

If you truly care about your viewers, you would listen to all of those people begging you for the return of Colleen.

When she returns.........so will I....but NOT then.

A lost viewer,
MrsJ

How generous of you Victoria Rowell, what a great thing to do.

I love the character of Dru but I do not like her holier than thou attitude lately. I loved the old Dru, this new one is just too stuck up for me. I did find it unrealistic that Drucilla would serve up pancakes on a silver platter in the morning and I hate the way Drucilla has started talking down to people like they are beneath her socially.

Bring back the old Drucilla, this one has become nauseating. And how about making Drucilla realize that her precious daughter is no angel, now that would really make my day.

I was just telling my husband that I really hated missing my favorite soap (Y&R) due to Hurricane Rita. He agreed since we watch it together. We missed 2 weeks. How wonderful is Victoria Rowell for thinking of the Katrina victims!!! Just wanted you to know you have a lot of fans in Sulphur, Louisiana. You guys are the best!!!!!

WOW, Victoria. I think what you're doing is super great and I really love you in Y&R a lot.

I certainly join others in feeling that Miss Rowell did a wonderful Thing by bringing a possibly-missed Episode of _Y&R_ to those Hurricane Victims!!! Out of Character, Miss Rowell comes across as quite a dignified Person, and, of Interest to me personally, she is quite a Supporter of the Performing Arts, having herself been a Dancer. Her Foundation seeks to give Foster Children an Opportunity to pursue those Performing Arts if I recall correctly, an obvious good Thing!!!

As I have been absent from this Blog for some Time now, might I say to MRSJ that, unfortunately, Miss Fonseca has no Plans to return to our Programme, she being quite emphatic about this in a Post she wrote on the Love At First Site Board which can be linked to from lyndsy-fonseca.com after one registers for that Forum. I too wish it were otherwise, but, though we personally do not like it, ought we not to respect her Wishes if her real Wishes they are?

I am a faithful fan of the Y&R. Your soap is better than most shows on TV. I live in a suburb of Toronto.I love the "love scenes" between Brad and Victoria. The background music is just wonderful. You always want to hear more.

Just wondering why JT and Mac have not been in any storyline recently? Hope they haven't left the show.
