The Insider can't wait to see Greg Rikaart's upcoming guest appearance on TNT's new drama series "The Closer"! We caught up with Greg to get a little sneak preview of the episode, in which he portrays a murder suspect with passionate political views. "There's one really great scene with me and Kyra Sedgwick in the interrogation room," he previews. "Kyra's a really gifted actor. It was exciting to work with her and it was fun to watch her (acting) process."

Greg's episode of "The Closer" airs Monday, August 22 at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on TNT

Fan Event Follow-up

Greg also had a great time at the "Y&R" fan event last Sunday. "The fans are all so generous and kind," he says. "A few brought gifts, and they all had very kind and interesting things to says about me and my work."

Go Greg! I'll be watching "The Closer" for sure. Pass the message to Greg that he is extremely talented and one of my favorites on Y&R.

Good Luck Greg on Y&R and all future projects. Thank you for the kind words for your fans, I wasn't at the event but I'm pleased to say I'm a fan of yours.

I love Kevin to bits, keep him slightly bad though.;)

You're right Sharon, I think it's time to move on and start your lives in a new home. Seems like the house Sharon and Nick have been in for all these years is just too dark and gloomy.

I think Nick will finally get this off his mind and bring Cassie's clothes to the courtroom so he can get on with his life.

The girl that played Cassie, was an outstanding
actress. She played her part so well.

I love, love love the young and the restless I have been watching it since 1982 when I was 12 yrs old. These people are like my family....I rely on seeing them everyday thru all of their struggles. My favorite character has been Jack Abbott for years..with Nick now becoming my 2nd. I was sad to see Cassie leave the show but it couldn've been done better the way she left..so surprising and tragic. If had known that you guys had some yrly annual fan meeting where we can all go to..I would have come yrs ago. Keep me posted...and next yr I am first to come to the fans meeting.

my suggestions for the show....are..get rid of Britainy and Bobby I am tired of hearing them whine..he made his choices she picked her mate..so move on to protective custudy. Bring back the old Mackenzie..this one is so not Mackenz-ish..the other one was a total do gooder and only concern with doing good for others...this one seems obsessed with relationship with JT...what happen to her concern for others? Let Ashely and Brad get back together along with Jack and Phyliss..enough already. enough with Lily maybe if she went to juevenile hall for a while she would stop being so obsess with Daniel..she is ruining her future. Where is Danny? His child is on trial for his life and he remains on tour? thats bs. I am glad to see crazy Sheila return..her and Michael going head to head should make for interesting tv. i would like to see more of Victor and Nikki in romance realtionship situation...no one does romance better than Victor..so lets play up and older peoples love...it can be hot too. I like the fact that they have with stood the test of time. all in all good job..that why this shows remains my no 1 favortite...it the only soap I watch.

Nicks vision of Cassie's memorable moments (graduation, wedding... )was fantastic! It was beautifully done and emotional to watch!

GREG! Sorry I missed you last night! I'm not a big fan of the TNT show, but would have watched it for your episode. Oh well, unlike the soap, I should be able to catch it in repeat.

I think Greg is one of the best actors on the soap. It all seems so natural to hium, like he is not acting (unlike Ridge - oops, wrong soap).

Greg, if you ever make it to vacation in Southwest Florida, look me up. I'd like to toss a few beers with you. And my wife wants to meet you anyway, but it would strictly be "boys night out." Bring your "brother" Michael, too. If you like golf, we have the best in the country. I'll hook it up!

Other than that, I hope they continue to give you good SL's. This Mackenzie SL is a waste of your talent. Here's a thought, either you, Michael, Gloria, maybe Lauren and maybe Ashley could all be suspects in the "murder" of Terrible Tom. Who pulled the trigger? What a great SL!!

Mr. Smith and producers, please update the opening credits already. You guys use stock footage instead of new shots, so what's hard about it?

The following ppl. need to be put on it:
Rachel Kimsey, Amelia Heinle, Tracey E. Bregman, Blair Redford, Bryant, Kimberlin Brown, Roscoe Born, Judith Chapman and Michael Graziedi.

Greg - amazing actor.
Time for Eric (Victor) to retire and leave the show. Too stiff of an actor. The episode where Nicki is freaking out behind the couch and old Victor banging on the window asking her to open the door was really stupid. What ... he has no keys to the house? He wasn't even carrying anything heavy that he needed her to open the door. Surely there are other entrances to the house. Where is their houseman Miguel? Is he not employed there anymore, or is he busy digging up Cassies clothes because Nick is getting tired of doing it himself??
Get rid of Britney and Bobby. The storyline is now exhausted. It's good to see Jill back. Jess Walton is a great Toronto girl.
Hate the new Mackenzie and Victoria. Victoria dresses like a 15 year old girl who buys her clothes at a discount or thrift store. Mac looks too old and big for the part.

To Y&R: Re: David Fralick/Larry Warton

As a long running show making social statements aligned
with current events, your missing a big one within your
midst: The bursting prison system and the evolution of
Larry Warton!

A good man gone bad cannot be good again. No matter
the dues paid, he will always be the "unforgiven." He
will not vote; have no credit; no apartment to rent, nor
hold a meaningful position. He will be the broomsweeper
until he finally gives up. Who shall speak for him? Who
shall be his ADVOCATE!?

After Mrs. "C" has secretly sent Larry Warton through the
Wharton School of Finance he will evolve as the ADVOCATE.
The one who has "been there, done that." Get him a haircut,
a subtle blue pin stripe suit, french cuff shirt and a tasteful
tie. Put an MBA in one hand and a chain in the other and get
after the injustice of the penal systems, the corrupt judges,
the crooked law enforcement. Create a center of rehabilitation
based on business. Create a future for the "unforgiven!"

Tell the writers to quit writing and tell the story!
Make a statement!
Make a difference!
BLOW THE DOORS OFF DAYTIME TELEVISION!!

Two longtime fans of Y&R and David Fralick.

So Mrs. Walton is from Toronto? That surprises me. She seems so American.

Y&R HAS BEEN THE BEST SOAP ON SINCE IT BEGAN. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING IT FROM DAY ONE. IT'S STORY LINES ARE BELIEVABLE. SO NOW, HERE COMES SHELIA AND SOMEONE WHO HAS HAD A FACE LIFT TO LOOK LIKE SHELIA.....PLEASE. HOW DO I COMPLAIN/COMMENT TO THE WRITERS ON THIS. LET'S KEEP IT REAL AND NOT GO TO THE STUPID EXTREMES OTHER SOAPS HAVE!!!!!

I think that having a Look-Alike appear in Miss Carter's Place, along with at Least one of the Institution's Authorities being a Co-Conspirator with her (I seem to recall her doing something similar to this on our Programme's Sister Soap), shows us yet again just how devious, not to mention _INTELLIGENT_ and indeed mentally sharp, she is, and thus all the more dangerous. Did she bribe this Individual or some such? We wait!

I saw Greg on The Closer and he was excellent! In a relatively small part, he really stood out; a superb actor. I would love to see him do more films and nighttime TV (which I know he already has.) I read where Michelle Stafford will be on an episode of "Charmed"; I think Greg would be great on it, too; he'd be an adorable demon, for example! I look forward to upcoming storylines for him on Y&R. I can't remember if Kevin is supposed to know all that well what Sheila looks like, butI wonder if an interesting twist might be to have Kevin, after Scott moves into the loft, and after Sheila follows Scott to Genoa City (which I have read is happening), meet "Sheila-as-Brenda" and maybe get a crush on her, that is, on "Brenda"? Kevin does after all like older women (Lauren, Gitta). I realize the story plan is for Sheila and "Terrible Tom" to "join forces" but a subplot where Kevin has a crush on "Brenda" - might be quite interesting!
