Shemar Moore arrived a little early for the event, and went outside to use his cell phone. He was quickly spotted by some tourists and graciously posed for photos with them! Meanwhile, inside the museum, Michelle Stafford and Kate Linder perused some of the exhibits, which included ball gowns and costumes from Old Hollywood's bygone era. Melody Thomas Scott looked beautiful in a white cocktail dress and matching jacket as she stepped out of her limo with her husband, Supervising Producer Edward Scott.
After the audience viewed a special retrospective tribute, Edward accepted the American Scene Award on Mr. Bell's behalf, and gave a heartfelt speech in which he reflected back on his many years of working with the daytime legend. Edward had the audience in stitches when he recounted an incident where Mr. Bell called him in the booth and criticized a scene he was watching on the monitor in his office. "He yelled at me, 'Just because I wrote (the scene) that way, doesn't mean you have to play it that way!'" Edward recalled with a laugh.
Other honorees at the star-studded event included veteran actress Susan Flannery of "The Bold and the Beautful," Don Hastings of "As the World Turns," Amber Tamblyn from "Joan of Arcadia," performer and song writer Patti Austin and news correspondent Robert Hager.

Melody Thomas Scott, Edward Scott, CBS Daytime Senior Vice President Barbara Bloom, Shemar Moore, Michelle Stafford and Kate Linder attended the awards ceremony.

Edward Scott accepted the award on Mr. Bell's behalf.

As those of you who read these Spaces regularly may know, I have only been listening to this Programme since 1995, and thus do not know the Late Mr. Bell's Work as well as some of you. Yet there are two Things for which I will personally remember him. Firstly, though controversial, I personally was pleased with the Way he usually handled the Abortion Issue. Secondly, though it may seem maverick to some, he still had his younger Characters showing Respect for their Elders by addressing them by Title and Last Name!!! To put it mildly, I do not care for this Modern Over-Familiarity, even by Adults, upon First Acquaintance! _THANK_ _GOD_, if appropriate, that Mr. Bell took those Stands, and he obviously was a Credit to his Profession in those Areas for which he is more often _QUITE_ _RIGHTLY_ cited!!!

Mr. Bill Bell was great man and a great writer and producer. One wonders, however, what he would be thinking now of the news item/direct quote of Jeanne Cooper, recently in Monaco at a soap event, over 4-5 message boards that the Katherine/Jill mother-daughter reveal big story of a couple of years ago - which story is referenced in Mr. Smith's blog a couple of weeks ago as being "destiny" (or something like that); one wonders what Mr. Bell would think of the news now that that story is going to be "un"done, and it will turn out that Jill and Katherine are NOT related after all. This seems like quite a jerking around of the Y&R viewing audience. On the other hand, Ms. Cooper has been quoted several times in several soap mags that she was never happy with this storyline (that Katherine and Jill were related) anyway. I don't think I've ever seen a soap re-do history and then RE-re-do it; be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I _MIGHT_ have heard of this before, but could it be that, though some Conflict between those two remained, they want to undo their Biological Relationship so as to re-introduce more Fireworks between them? I personally somewhat enjoyed this Relationship, but _MAYBE_ it would be good to undo it, unorthodox though such a Move would be, if Mrs. Cooper is not happy with the current Mother-Daughter Relationship they supposedly have. Then whose Child _IS_ "the Dragon Lady?"

Questions please:
Now the we have seen the ads for the nighttime drama Shemar Moore will be in, does that mean he will not be coming back to the young and the restless? He seems so humble and gracious in real life.
I read that Melody Scott will be leaving becase of an illness of chronic pelvic pain and her doctor asked he to share her struggle to educate other women. I think she is brave and would like to know more.

Why did Cassie leave the story? I saw in a magazine that she may be coming back. Is that
true?

I'm wondering why Melody Scott Thomas still has the bruises on her face. By this time anyone would try to hide them with some makeup. Maybe they are for real! AND why does Michael's girlfriend wear such pale lipstick? Her makeup just doesn't seem right.ALSO-Nick should take off his goatee. It's not becoming to him. Makes him look like wolfman when he is really good-looking.

Y&R is the best show on television. I can truly say that even though I work through I log onto the website to find out what's going on. Shemar Moore is my favorite. He is truly fine. Please keep Victoria Rowell on Y&R. I like the chemistry between she and Shamar.
