Here I am with John Enos and my Emmy-winning son, and he even has a heart of gold!

With my other Emmy-winning son and the fabulous director, Mike Denney.

Glory, Glory, Glory! Me, with New York's finest.

Here I am with Peter Bergman. The Y, of course, is for "The Young and the Restless!

This is Amanda Smith, producer of the travel show 'Resort Host,' which I starred in. Amanda took some time out to have her photo taken with me, instead of taking all of the pictures!

Two gorgeous gals out on the town. And look, I have a tiara!

Everybody's favorite head writer, Jack Smith.

Comments
I have no idea how to start a new topic, so, I will just put this comment here.
What are you thinking, bringing back Sheila?
How many times is the same psycho going to revisit GC?
I was soooo thrilled when she got off the show last time, and now you are bringing her back. Can't she get a job on another show?
GC sure has a load of psychos and murderers who stop by with alarming frequency.
I guess the writers are just out of ideas and feel the need to re-hash the re-hash!
I just read that it looks like Katherine and Jill are going to end up not being mother and daughter! OMG!
We went through that whole sappy SL, not too mention Mac & Billy not being able to marry, and now you are going to make them not mother & daughter.
Thank goodness for the always ongoing Newman/Jabot feud, or I would stop watching the show all together.
Only thing that saves this show from being on the bottom of the heap, is the incredible acting of the cast, if you didn't have that, you'd have nothing, because the writing is a joke.
You may win best soap awards, but that just means you are the best of the worst!
Jack Smith and Kay Alden should do all us long-suffering fans a favor and ride off into the sunset!
Trust me, I am not alone in my sentiments!

WOW, JUDITH! May I say you look absolutely sublime in those shots?
I love you so much! Your performances are so rich! Thank you for all that you do!

Judith, thank you for sharing. As is also true on Y&R, Gloria and the the Baldwin Boys light up the night, and bring new vitality wherever they go.
On another note, I disagree with the post of Sammie above. (1) Kimberlin Brown and the original Y&R Sheila remain one of my all-time favorite, most memorable stories. I am not alone! Remember how B&B's ratings spiked when Sheila moved to Los Angeles. People followed her! (2) It is true that Sheila was reduced to cartoonish caricature on B&B. Much as I love Kimberlin, I would not be thrilled to have her come back again to B&B. (3) I'm hopeful that Sheila, back on her original show, will again psychologically torment us...not physically threaten us. (4) Remember that the real story here is the bizarre antipathy between Sheila and Lauren. I have to assume that, deep down, Sheila wants Lauren's life. We have never really been shown why this is the case, and why she has especially picked Lauren. My hope is that Sheila's return will explain some of this.

Judith, you are a breath of fresh air on that show. Your portrayal of Gloria is spot on!
Sammie, AMEN! I never liked Sheila. and now here she comes back again! AGAIN!?!? Come on already.
Like I've always said, they should take a poll to find out what SL's the viewers fast forward through the most. For me? Anything Mackenzie, anything Lily and now anything Sheila.
Here's a thought, bring back the Brooks clan!

I second MarlandRulez's comment........
Judith Chapman is in great company w/ Peter Bergman, Christian LeBlanc and Greg Rikaart.
Ms. Chapman - you look "oh, so sublime"!

I am not particularly anticipating Miss Carter's Return, but am merely _MILDLY_ curious, having only encountered her on _B&B_ to Date, and thus will try to give her a Chance.
On another Front, and at the _BLATENT_ risk of Repetition, I continue to hope, as I gather most of us do, for a _SWIFT_ Conclusion to the Romalotti Saga, with him being cleared of all Charges!!! _PLEASE_, Mr. Nicholas Newman, hand over those Clothes if you have not destroyed them (as I admittedly fear you have, or at Least have discarded them)!!! Meanwhile I must say that the Marsino Storyline, and that centered around Terrible Tom (can they _EVER_ defeat him?), have me quite intrigued, etc., actually causing me to look forward to each Episode more than I have in quite some Time!!! _THESE_ are where the _REAL_ Drama now is as far as I am concerned, not in the Aftermath of what I still feel was the unjustified Killing-Off of Miss Cassie Newman which was supposed to open all these Storyline Possibilities. All we seem to be getting from this is a narly Nicholas and again an unjustly-accused Person, though I continue to join others in liking Master Romalotti and Miss Winters as a Couple!!!

lIKE IT OR NOT, SHEILA is one of Y&R's most popular characters of all time and is definatly daytime's greatest villain.
Kimberlin is HOME!!!!
Posted by: Annie at July 29, 2005 4:07 PM
Probably one reason the character of Sheila is coming back to Y&R is that the actress Kimberlin Brown probably wouldn't want to go back to the other Bell show, "B&B", with Hunter Tylo ("Taylor" now back on the show. I remember some years ago - 6? more? that there was an extremely well-reported (all the soap mags and other mags as well) feud between the two actress and their two husbands, over business dealings gone bad. Can't remember if everyone "kissed and made up" - but probably some bad blood there perhaps. Also it seems like TPTB at Y&R currently like to take "inspiration" from the past, as opposed to creating new characters. But Kimberlin Brown is a great actress and Sheila an incredible character, so I'm willing to watch.

Judith, thank you so much for those pictures....I have to say that you are the 'Bomb'! Wow you are absolutely gorgeous in those pictures. Love the dress!!! I really enjoy your character, Gloria and I just love it when I hear you call Christian and Greg 'my boys'!!! That is just soooo sweet. I love watching your reaction to TT. The look you gave was priceless!
On the whole, I enjoy most of what is going on on the show. Although, I tend to agree there are just some scenes I have to FF through....anything with Mac whining about JT. I just want to tell the girl to give it a rest already. And I do wish, JACK, that you would show us some more of Sierra!!! I love Sierra...where is she??? Hey, maybe she took a road trip to Europe and is bringing Colleen home with her. Now, that would spark up my life. She is the best and I miss Lyndsy's portrayal as Colleen.
Again thanks for the show, this board and for all the great stories. (But I sure would be jumping for joy if Lyndsy Fonseca was back in the credits.)

From what I have heard of her, I indeed agree that Miss Brown is a fine Actress, and gather that she is a very nice Person out of Character!

Thank you Judith for showing us the pictures u had taken from the emmys you look absolutely stunning love ur character as Gloria love to watch you, Rosco, Christian and Greg in action look forward to seeing the show u all spice up the show.
I also like the fact that they are bringing back sheila's character GC needs some action going on lol
I would also like to say i guess i am the only one that seems to like Mac, the new mac seems to be growing on me I liked Ashley Bashioum but the new Mac seems to be the perfect one to fill the part of mac i kinda like her. Also I hope that they what i hear is not true that they don't write that kay and Jill are not really mother and daughter after all the hassle that Kay suffered with her illness finding out that they were mother and daughter and they both finally seem to except it they are going to do a complete turn around.
In closing I think the young and the restless has the best actors and actresses on daytime has kept me watching for years also the writing is fantastic some things i don't agree with but not everything is going to play out the way we want it too, Keep up the great Job Jack smith and Kay alden can't wait to see what u have in store for us next

Judith, thanks for the wonderful pictures. I recently met Christian LeBlanc in New Orleansand he was a very nice guy.
Welcome back Kimberlin Brown! Sheila is finally home where she belongs!

You are such an asset to the show, Judith. May you have many years with Y&R.

Judith, thanks for sharing the pictures. You look wonderful in them, as does the baldwin brothers. I got to meet christian in Va last year and still have his autograph and picture on my fridge. Just cant get enough of him and Greg. Keep the pictures coming, we love them.
As for the return of kimberlin, bring it on. my favorite storyline to watch is anything with michael, greg, and gloria and now that kimberlin is back, anything with sheila. I watched years ago when she was on and cant wait to do it again.

I'm for anything Michael and Bobby, who ever thought of Bobby leaving must have been out of their tree, I recently saw them in NOLA what woman wouln't want to feast their eyes on that combo, (I tape) every day...anyway I do hope they bring Bobby back soon, I think him and Victor make a good strong storyline...guess we need something new, I could do with something from way out of the past...a Brooks would do..maybe a Tripper...how about it? ugh guys?
Posted by: SandiS at August 1, 2005 3:10 PM
I guess Lyndsey was seen at the producers office or something recently, so all of you pining for the return of Colleen, you may get your wish. Sorry, I'm a guy and I've watched the show for 23 years. she did nothing for me. She did NOT match JT as far as I'm concerned.
As for Sheila (another yuck in my book), here's what'll probably happen. She met Michael when he visited LA on a trial he was working on. She finds out that her nemesis Lauren has her hooks into him, so she comes to town and tries to woo him. That fails, so she threatens Lauren that she'll do something to him (or perhaps Scotty) if she doesn't leave him. Same as the Shanwn storyline in the mid 80's, only this time she asks former hubby Paul for help and he does and she fall for Paul again. How's that for a wild guess?
I just hope the extra hype promos for the return of "evil" is worth it. BTW, I'm so over the Romalotti SL it isn't even funny.
Posted by: Joe at August 2, 2005 8:47 AM
Joe... I heard that rumour as well about Lyndsy and I for one would absolutely love if she came back!! I think it would add an interesting twist to the storylines going on right now with Kevin, Mac, Lily, John and especially JT.
Bring her back to our tv screens!
Posted by: Ames at August 2, 2005 11:04 PM
Well, Joe, your theory is good but the reveal actually happens a little differently. Sheila turns up but not (yet) in Genoa City. Canadian posters (which I am not) are a day ahead and have posted the "reval" on several message boards. It's really good! Oh, but it's not - as you were smart enough to figure out; me, too - it's not that she was Kevin's shrink. I don't know why people thought that, when the actress playing the shrink was listed in the credits. Anyway, Sheila storyline sounds fascinating!
Posted by: Maria Mason at August 4, 2005 10:15 AM
Well, I can't wait for a "Sheila returns" topic either!
I just saw the Canadian broadcast with Sheila's return and it was UNEXPECTED and HEARTSTOPPING!
Great, great classic moment that won't soon be forgotten. Give yourselves a raise!
How long has this been going on? If it's been years then this storyline is going to ROCK!
Posted by: kricketkat at August 4, 2005 3:14 PM
I was disappointed they are bringing Sheila back, especially at the expense of John Enos.
I agree with the poster Sammie about the writing on this show, its just awful.
I only watch because of the Baldwin/Fisher clan, all actors in this storyline make it worth watching.
And regarding your villans, if you must write such stuff then start making them pay for some of their crimes, you are clearly sending the wrong message by allowing murderers,/attempted murderers to walk free. Take some responsibility for what you write.
Posted by: Diane at August 5, 2005 9:39 AM
I just read Diane's post above and reread Sammie's.
I have to respectfully disagree.
Fans have been asking for Sheila to return for years. She was on once for about a three year span and quickly became one , if not the most popular villain the show has ever had. She went on to do other soaps and now it's finally time to come full circle.
I find it odd to accuse the writers of being irresponsible. This is fiction afterall! YR is hands down the most "realistic" of any soap on TV. A classic villain by definition shouldn't get away with their crimes! Thankfully the YR writers have never done anything as silly as what the Days writers have done. Constantly regurgitating their villains every few years and pulling strange stunts like having Marlena be possessed or pregnant for the trillionth time or the most recent one... having the 3 different actors who played Roman all on air at once! If I were a loyal viewer I'd find that extremely insulting!
I find the YR writers to be terrific with heartbreaking stories. They're wonderful at injecting humour and handle sensitive/delicate storylines really well. (Ashley's cancer/Cassie's death.)
I don't agree with everything YR's writers pen, but they stack up pretty darn good against their competition!
It's a shame you don't appreciate the talented actors young and old outside of the Baldwin/Fisher clan. You can't please everyone, but there is certainly a wealth of talented actors in this cast! Kudos to the casting department on YR for the great overall job they do year after year!
Posted by: kricketkat at August 5, 2005 3:50 PM
It has been said that the Late Mr. Bell believed in Criminals paying for their Crimes. Yet I trust he equally believed that the Innocent should not have to pay for what they did _NOT_ do, and I continue to hope that the Late Miss Newman's Clothes were _NOT_ destroyed, and that they can be presented as Evidence to clear we all know who!!! However, though I hope Miss Carter can _FINALLY_ be held accountable for _ALL_ she has done on _BOTH_ Bell Programmes, _JUST_ _MAYBE_ this new Chapter in her Career of Crime, etc., _COULD_ end up being gripping, etc.!
It should further be interesting to learn if Miss Browning can forgive Mr. Hellstrom for his Deception, what Terrible Tom will do next and thereafter, and how Mr. Marsino will make his Exit. For the Sake of those of you who really like Mr. Enos, let us hope that this Character is not killed off, thus allowing for a _POSSIBLE_ Return in Future should he and the Programme wish!

Who ever is reading these comments, I think you should print the honest and sincere remarks of all viewers. Diane's comments about not making the villans pay for their crimes is right on. It's alarming that these evil people never get what they deserve, and always, always seem to return to repeat their evil deeds (like Shelia) again. Time to add some new writers to the staff, or maybe you could bring back MEG BENNETT. I'd be happy to send in some good storyline ideas. You've got my e-mail.

Good Old Days' comment confuses me. I cannot believe TPTB would ever hire this poster as a writer, based on the fact that they obviously seem to see things in black and white, good and evil.
The human condition is no such thing, characters are multi faceted, such as Sheila. She has severe psychological problems and if you followed her to B&B, you saw a woman who was trying to recover from her insanity, nearly succeded but due to events and the machinations of others, was plunged right back into darkness.
Characters should never be written as purely good and bad, in such clichéd terms, that is where a soap really fails. Sheila has been sustained for so long because Kimberlin Brown is a masterful actress who has infused light and dark into her characterisation to such an extent that this character is endlessly potent and fascinating.
Psychotic characters may not always 'pay' for their crime as you put it, but it gives writers the oppururtunity to explore their mind. hink about how many Y&R characters have been redeemed who started off psychotic or ruthless, Michael, Victor, Kevin, Phyllis.. the list is endless!
TPTB, you have MY email. If you want some incredible character driven drama ideas, i am the realistic and exciting way froward.
Posted by: MarlandRulez at August 7, 2005 5:53 PM
BTW - I love the flashbacks Lauren is having regarding Sheila. It's been so long and I've forgotten much! I do remember her and Molly being tied up though, that was juicy!
And why didn't I think of Sheila being Kevin's shrink? I love that!!! I bet even the writers didn't think of that one. And we never did see his shrink, did we? Hmmmm...
As a side note, does anyone know what happened to Bern Bennett, the old announcer, who was on for years and years? Did he retire? Just curious.
Posted by: Joe at August 8, 2005 12:42 PM
I agree with Joe about 'Colleen' ....she didnt do anything for me either & is no match for 'JT'...& i dont remember this 'Sheila' person being on the show, ofcourse i was only 11 & didnt watch, but she's already getting on my nerves along with 'Scotty' & his bratty attitude. I love 'Lauren', but she needs to suck it up & tell 'Scott' about the whole situation from the beginning & maybe that will solve alot of his problem.
Posted by: GrnEydNurse at August 8, 2005 1:16 PM
Sorry JOe and GRnEydNurse, to us Colleen fans, Jt was no MATch for her. When the writers put JT with Colleen that is how they both got their fan base. The fan Base for JT and Colleen is HUGE. We are VEry LOYAL To Lyndsy and are watching her other projects. The JT storyline since she left has been at the bottom of the barrel. SO won't watch JT without her.

To Ms. Chapman: Love the pictures! And your gown is stunning; the most beautiful gown of any woman at the Emmys. And your scenes airing the week of 8/1 were excellent; great dialogue and very well-played - to see how Gloria and Terrible Tom were together, what kept them together, how she "allowed" the abuse: very realistic. On another note, now that the Canadian TV Guide is mentioning the same info that was in soap mags a few weeks ago - that both Lauren Woodland and Roscoe Born are on their way out - it will be interesting to see how the Terrible Tom scenario plays out. I would respectfully disagree with other posters that think he is or was involved with Sheila. Also, we've seen that Sheila was probably NOT Kevin's shrink. As could be seen by watching the credits; that actress - voiceover only - is named something like Melendy Britt. We still don't know who Terrible Tom called on his cell phone; I think it might turn out to be Gitta because there was a brief mention in a soap magazine about 4 weeks ago that someone who works on the show said, "we haven't seen the last of Gitta yet." Probably Terrible Tom will be killed by someone, Kevin or Gloria will be blamed, and it will turn out Gitta did it. Must be hard for the show, balancing now two villians - Tom and Sheila - and perhaps two trials - Daniel and maybe re Terrible Tom. Makes for good viewing, though!

I think you are taking the hearrbreak for Nick to far. Some of the thing that he's doing goes to far. Like hiding evidence. He turned his own father in for going against the law. You can understand him growing to love Cassie, (but she wasn't even his daughter.) Let's just get past this and let him eat crow for a little bit and he and Victoria can start their war for control of the business..
